Bird Tourism Programming

 

Elliot Nelson – Eastern UP Bird Tourism Programming. Mi Sea Grant is a program of Michigan State University, The University of Michigan, and the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration. Sea Grant takes science and research from the universities and NOAA to coastal communities to help them sustainable utilize and restore their coastal resources. Elliot Nelson works for MI Sea Grant and is based out of Sault Ste Marie serving the Eastern UP. Elliot works on a variety of topics including aquaculture, ecotourism, resiliency, and k-12 Great Lakes literacy programs. Elliot will focus his talk on the bird tourism programming he is working on including local birding trails, festivals and research.
